Wind is a kitesurfers butter and bread. Its the sugar in their coffee, the jam in their doughnut, the spring in their step. It can either make the day or break it. So, if you want to go kitesurfing in Dubai, or to take a kitesurfing lesson, a reliable wind forecast is going to become a very useful thing indeed; something to cherish, covet, and dare i say... keep a secret? Now, we know that weather forecasts (if you are British) are typically not to be trusted... and that they can be both overly optimistic and dramatically dire. But thats not to say they are totally off the wall... most of the time they are actually pretty close to what plays out on a day-to-day basis, and, when combined with some knowledge of the local weather systems and micro-climate, can be extreeeemely useful to providing us with sound info on when the wind is coming and where its going to be coming from.
